Window-lit Bridal Portrait

Here is a beautiful, window-lit bridal portrait I took of Paula in Lakeview Farm’s lovely bridal-preparation room. As the beautiful bride serenely anticipated her shortly-to-come wedding, I was able to capture her gentle expression and enhance it with the use of soft lighting. The sun shining in from the window perfectly lit Paula’s expression and fairly glowed off of her radiant white dress. The sunshine reflecting off of her wedding dress and hair accentuates the bride’s beauty. I love taking the time on the wedding day to create and capture beautiful portraits of the bride. I love how the darkened background of the photo softly frames the bride and accents the purity of her white dress. I brought her face into focus while allowing the background to remain dark. Both the manipulation of focus and of the light gives this bridal portrait a dream-like effect as the bride-to-be awaits her wedding. Directing her gaze out the window and with a slight smile on her face, her expression is romantic and hopeful as she anticipates the ceremony. Because of its elegance, this is one of my favorite bridal portrait poses and I often use it for brides on their wedding day. The dressing area for the bride and bridesmaids was rustic and beautiful, providing a lovely setting for bridal portraits and detail photographs. Lakeview Farms is one of the most beautiful York County wedding venues I have had the privilege to photograph. Its shining lake, rustic stone buildings, and elegant country views all provide many beautiful backdrops for wedding portraits. This venue’s friendly and accommodating staff did an excellent job at making Paula and Daren’s reception a joyous occasion both for the couple and their guests. Surrounded by wooden-fenced pastures with grazing horses, Lakeview Farms is a private and peaceful venue for your wedding.
