Veiled Bridal Portrait at Landis Valley Village Museum

On a lovely day in Lancaster County, Jessica and Chris were joined in marriage at the Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum. As they held each other close beneath her flowing veil, it was easy to see the love they had for one another. The bright and natural colors of this wedding portrait accurately reflect the joy of the couple on their special day. As Chris rests his forehead against his bride’s, Jessica’s look of serenity is the romantic focal point of this wedding portrait. I love capturing natural moments like this one for my clients on their wedding day. The natural features of this portrait are part of what makes it so beautiful. The deep greens of the trees in the background, the vivid yellows of the leaves, and the band of flowers in Jessica’s hair are all eye-catching additions to this portrait. I allowed these to blend together into a collage of colors that naturally frames the bride and groom, adding to the romantic and dream-like quality of this photograph. The golden-hour sun provided a nice glow of light to shine beautifully off of Jessica’s veil. This sunny part of the day proved to be a great time to take wedding portraits as its brightness brings out not only the romance of their wedding, but also its vivid and beautiful joy. The ceremony and reception at the Landis Valley Farm Museum were both beautiful. This venue boasts rustic buildings, historical features, and lovely landscaping. All of these provided elegant and natural backdrops for wedding portraits. The Landis Valley Museum is a great location for large, small, indoor, and outdoor weddings and is placed in a beautiful part of Lancaster’s historical countryside.
