Fun Bridal Party CelebrationState College, PAOn a beautiful day in State College, Pennsylvania, Kelly, Justin, and their friends celebrated the wedding in front of the college’s Old Main building. This wedding party was a fun crowd to work with and they were excited to pose for this portrait. As I do with many of my clients, I placed the bride and groom in the center and asked them to kiss while the wedding party, positioned around them, looks towards the newlyweds and celebrates. This is one of my favorite types of portraits because, although it is nicely posed, it also allows the bridesmaids and groomsmen’s natural personalities to come out. This is a very fun and energetic portrait for Kelly and Justin to include in their wedding album. I like how the regal porch of the Old Main building provided an elegant backdrop for this portrait. The grey stone was a perfect background to make the colors of the wedding party to pop out of the photo’s center. This shot was very linear and uniform from the Old Main’s columns to the even positioning of the bridal party. State College, PA was a picturesque location for wedding party photographs, bridal portraits, and of course bride and groom portraits. The elegance of the setting was well suited for this lovely couple’s photographs. With its towering columns, elegant lamps, and brick walkways, the porch of Penn State’s Old Main Building was a favorite location because of its regal and beauty. Conveniently located on the college’s campus, I would love to have the opportunity to return and photograph more weddings at this elegant site.
