Elegant Bridal Portrait, State College, PAThis elegant bridal portrait was taken on a beautiful day in the basement of the chapel at Pennsylvania’s State College. Adorned in her dress and veil, Kelly looked beautiful as she awaited the wedding ceremony. As I do with all of my clients, I seek to capture the bride in all her beauty through a variety of bridal portraits. This close up is one of my favorites because it focuses on the bride’s romantic expression as she gazes down at her flowers. I also like how this photograph shows the details of her bouquet. Though the bride is the focus of this portrait, I like to capture the wedding’s details with her because those are what make each one special. Each unique bouquet, veil, and ring holds sentimental value for the bride and groom and it is my privilege to capture each item in its best light. This bridal portrait was taken in the basement of the church so I used my LED lighting to cast a soft glow onto Kelly’s expression and bouquet. Because her face and flowers are in focus while everything else is allowed to fade, this portrait has a dreamy and romantic essence to it. State College, PA was a picturesque location for wedding party photographs, bridal portraits, and of course bride and groom portraits. The elegance of the setting was well suited for this lovely couple’s photographs. With its towering columns, elegant lamps, and brick walkways, the porch of Penn State’s Old Main Building was a favorite location because of its regal and beauty. Conveniently located on the college’s campus, I would love to have the opportunity to return and photograph more weddings at this elegant site.
