I think this black and white portrait of the groom and his groomsmen walking together in front of the church captures the many years of comradery and memories that they share with each other. By taking this portrait in black and white, I sought to give it a sense of nostalgia, as I’m sure they guys were feeling it as they prepared to escort Matt into a new stage of life. Also, by eliminating colors, one’s eyes can pick up on the strength and energy expressed in the groomsmen’s faces as they celebrated Matt’s wedding. This was a fun group of guys to work with and they enjoyed having the opportunity to joke around. As I do with all of my clients, I am always looking for a cool and manly portrait of the groom and his groomsmen as both they and the bride enjoy looking back on those fun moments.
