As their guests continued to celebrate, the couple stole away to the edge of the Lancaster Marriot’s rooftop just as the sun was setting. Both the bride and groom enjoyed the chance to have a private moment together as I photographed them against the evening sky. One thing I love doing for clients at night is not only to take advantage of the natural setting, but also to enhance it by using my own lighting. To create the touch of light that glows around their hair and her dress, I had my assistant go behind them and point the flash towards Alex. The effect is eye-catching compared to the gentler colors of the rest of this portrait. A night portrait like this one is a great way to end a wedding album.
